DIE SCHÖNSTE BAHNSTRECKE HESSENS
For many years, nostalgic or insomniac Germans would spend their nights engrossed in a popular TV feature consisting entirely of the view from a railway locomotive travelling along one of “The Most Beautiful Railway Lines in Germany”. This film is a homage to that genre and to George Romero’s zombie pictures, offering intense relaxation tempered by an ever-growing sense of dread and culminating in a horrific finale. This movie has been on my mind for about five years. In 2017 all circumstances came together to make it real with hardly any funding at all. This movie was made by over a hundred enthusiastic people and we shot 95% of it in one take.
